Do you click ads?

I've been wondering sometime when i look at my page impresions and ad clicks that i got in my GA account. I have about 150-200 page impresions a day from my blog (i know its just a small number ) but from those page impresions i just got 1 click a day, 2 if i lucky and even not a single click sometimes
so i guess i got to ask you all, do you click ads?
i mean not at your own ads but when you're visiting someone site and there are ads in there, will you click it ?
or you have anti-ads google on your eyes so everytime you see ads, automatically your hand will move your pointer away so you'll not accidently click it
or my friend was right when he told me that ads are for noobs in cyber world
or...

Due to Ad-Block and No Script, i don't see ads or get spammed with useless scripting and flash.
So, no i don't click picture ads, but i will click text ads if they go to a site i want.

thats... very unpleasant fact, and ironic to see that we, webmasters and bloggers, who put ads in our sites and blogs hoping for other people to click those ads but actually ignoring others ads
but dont get me wrong, i'm not trying to motivate people to do some crazy ads click here, i just wonder why we got so allergic to it, and why not take it just like a normal link that maybe will take us to a cool site?

Like your friend, I never click any ad, nor see them.
I've setup my home with transparent proxy and a cleanup process that removes some javascript pattern and ads before it even reaches the browser ( http://www.privoxy.org/).
That plus adblock/noscript, and I really never see any of them.

Does this really surprise you?
I personally have put them on 1 or 2 sites, but honestly, I don't rely on them to make any money.
I've never put them on my blog although.
I wanted to make a blog for the sake of writing articles, not spam baiting.
And the tech crowd is using adblock + ad blind anyway, so it doen nearly no sense at all to even try it.

Yes I sometimes click on ads just to see what's there - but it depends on what is being advertised of course. I never click on the sponsored results in a google search though (apart from on keywords that I use myself to check out the opposition of course). If I'm feeling bored and can't be bothered to even show my SU toolbar I may well click an ad to see where it takes me. I have also been known to deliberately click ads on forums I use purely to chuck a few pennies towards the site -why not!

well, sometime it did, but just like i said before "maybe" so i guess clicking ads is like a gambling, sometime you're lucky and find gold, but sometime you're not the only different in this gambling is you got nothing to lose but your time and some of your mood
@tripy : you know, you really remind me of my friend i wonder what happen to advs world if everyone turn to be like you

I'm an average men like many other...
A bit of something don't bother me, but flashing banners with 12 popunders and scripts resizing my browser (not mentioning replacing the default behavior of my right click menu) just have gone too far.
I recon that these days, it seems better.
So many peoples became "ads blind" that the ads maker seems to understand the difference between an ads and an "eye r.a.p.e"
But hey, now that I'm used to drop ads, why would I change it?
When you want something done right, do it yourself.
As for the ads world, I have to say I don't care much.
A flawed business model don't have to be maintained just for the sole purpose that it existed before.
And I could say the same about bailouts. I really like what Larry Flint did.
I never buyed any of his publication, but I like the mind of that man.
A provocative person, and his bailout proposition for the porn industry gave me a good laugh .
That's one I would approve (hey, I said it, I'm an average men).

When I see some interesting add and I think that there is something I could use, off course I click it. Adds are there for clicking, but clicking when you are interested in what you are clicking.

You have a tough audience. Webmasters and tech people are notorious for not clicking on ads much.
A more generic/less techie audience tends to be more open to clicking on ads.

Hi, usually if I'm searching I visit pages and skim through text. If I find an ad that pops out at me, I hit it and see a site. So yes I click on ads and I think they are a great way sometimes to find things you might normally not.
For the people that don't click on ads, that's okay, and I respect your reasonings. I do only because I am interested in the content.
I hope that helps.

If I happen to notice something that interests me, I will probably click the ads... If not, then no. But that ads that show normally depend on the content of the site
