even more disappointing. For a webmaster to use adblock to remove ads is like a movie star downloading movies! However it is unfair of me to make any call on how it is used. If used to block certain malware and pop under type garbage its fine, but if you have it set on blocking all ad networks and such tisk tisk I think I do tend to have "ad goggles" on because I'm so used to making sure not to click my own. Once in a while a google ad will link to something i'm interested in so I click it.

BTW, you may not want to share your CTR it is againts google's TOS. And that click through rate is about normal. In general .5 - 1.5% is considered normal, unlike the good old days of half naked women and expensive cars right next to ad blocks when we could get 15%

I've created web sites, I run a blog.
They don't have adsense, nor any other kind of ads.
I don't put ads emplacement on my sites, I don't do affiliate business, and I don't care about paid reviews.

You seem to consider that anyone creating a web site is doing it just for ads money.
Haven't you ever built something that has a value beside the ads you put next to it ?

I am fed up of advertising. I am fed up of spam. My spam filter already catch around 4'000 spams a day.
Why wouldn't I cut off something I don't want to see ?

If I need something, I'm going to search and look for it.
I don't want nor need someone else telling me "this is just what you need, buy it!"

I've resigned my land line phone, because I was fed up of being disrupted every evening by either telemarketers or studies.
Only a dozen of peoples have my cell phone number, which is always under silence, and that I check it 1 time per day.

I love my life since them. Peaceful and calm.
And boy, what would I give for ditching my mail address too!

i will click ads if the ads are relevant, most i don't click instead of that i will google my keywords because we blogger and webmasters have an inner feel that these are just ads by some other guy and there is no assurance that we will find what we are searching for in that website......

If I see a link or google ad and its something I like or want I will have no problem clicking an ad. Remember if no one clicks on any ads the advertiser makes no money the host of the ads gets no money. I don't think that will help anyone in these times.

Rarely, and I mean very rarely will I click an ad. If I want something I go to google and find it.

The main reason why I do not click ads is because most of the sites that the ad takes me to are links sites. So I follow an ad, to look at more ads?

After being on the internet for over 10 years, I pretty much ignore ads.

I always click on ads if it is appealing enough and I click on the google ads becasue they can lead to decent websites (this is dependent on the subject matter ofcourse).

I have many blogs and one of my techie blogs with lots of visitors a day is one of my worst adsense money makers...and I mean bad. I have a beauty related blog that does really well on adsense, at least compared to the other one.

i think that the ads make a big differene and ill 100% click on ads if they interest me or guide me to what im looking for.

Yes, i click ads when it is interesting. I lose nothing but i can get the information i need. Just same as i click on the link from search engine, nothing wrong

Yes sad to say that we, webmaster are trying to avoid clicking on ads while hoping for others to clicl at our own ads.

I do sometimes click ads, when i see something interesting.

i click on ads when it is similar to my search. Some times advertisements bring us real thing.

I have never clicked and most webmasters in this forum wouldn't either...unless they were "tipping". And the biggest problem may actually be your ad placements.

I'm sure you would not be saying that if YOU were paying for the adverts that get clicked on.

I do click on ads sometimes if the ad interests me and is what I am looking for. But as far as I know, most of the time when people are just browsing through web pages, they hardly pay any attention to the ads.

hmm i wouldnt click on a google ad unless i specifically had an interest in what was being advertised on/in that ad. advertisers hard earned money go into placing these ads so no point clicking on it unless you are interested. also by clicking on something just to have a look if you know you are just looking and not going to sign up only inflates the advertiser costs which means less paid out per click. if you see something and think you might sign up to it sure click through the ad. otherwise go to google and search for it yourself.
