I recently integrated our adsense stats into our analytics reports. In concept this seems like a really useful idea. But I noticed that when I check our adsense stats inside the analytics account, I see a link that reads "Why do these numbers differ from my AdSense account?" I have to follow this link to see the actual stats. The page with the true stats states "Your Analytics numbers may under-estimate those in your AdSense account..."

My question is...WHY? Why are the stats displayed within the analytics tools not the actual stats? So when we check, for instance, our 'Top AdSense Referrers' we aren't seeing the true numbers. The link anchor text itself says "WHY do these numbers differ..." but when you click on the link to see the actual stats you aren't given any reason for the difference.

How is this really useful? Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance...

Just a note; I asked this same question on a couple of forums in order to broaden the scope of answers I get...sorry if this bothers some of you.
