Hi,
I use Google Ads 'pay per click' and wanted to change our click url from "mysite.com" to use a link-thru url which uses an affiliate script that places a cookie on the visitors pc which i then track by code on my checkout.
Basically using an afffiliate script to track orders that come from Google.
I know about using Google analytics and stuff but the affiliate program script offers all sorts of better tracking features.
My issue is... if I'm paying per click for Google Ads, and the affiliate cookie is being detected and flagged up by the visitor's security software, then I'd potentially be paying for clicks that wouldn't even be getting onto my site.
I'd just like to know peoples thoughts on this...?
Thanks a lot in advance
Your advice will be greatly appreciated.
Bob
