I've just heard that web directory owners are earning good Google Adsense from google.com...

can anyone suggest is it true? because i know there will be too much visitor because it would be a free / paid directory... so SEO's will come to add their websites in directory... also directory gets too much visitors from search engines..

Is it good to have directory in place of social media bookmarking site?

Any site which has the concept for throwing the user out has higher CTR and so better eCPM but then the amount of traffic the directories get should be the concern.

They may earn $2-$3 per 1000 impressions but thats the max they can get then they may be earning good but the scalability is not there.
