Hello everyone. I have a website that caters to Photoshop tutorials, camera tutorials, that kind of thing. I get a lot of visitors from Google, the website already appears in many different searches even though it's still in its infancy.

With roughly 500-1000 unique visitors a day, why do I only ever get one or two clicks? This is ridiculous!

Also, is it possible that Google sees that my site is still relatively new [only two weeks old], and is lowering the CPC of each ad? I'm often getting only $0.05 or so per click. Recently, I added 200 sites to my "Competitive Ad Filter" to block out the low-paying photo websites in my niche, things like www.really-super-hot-photos-2000.com [that's not a real site], that I know only pay $0.02 because the "content" is just ad links to other sites.

Anyway. Any help would be appreciated!

First are you sure those visitors are people and not robots? What analytics program are you using to get the 500-1000 uniques number?

You have a topic where your visitors are likely web savvy. Odds are they recognize an ad as an ad. Web savvy people are generally less likely to click ads.

One possibility for low clicks is actually because you've done something good. I only looked quickly, but it looks like you've created some nice tutorials and put some work into them. It's possible that you've created content that is good enough to keep people on your site and not send them away through the ads. It's not good for your AdSense revenue, but it's good for you in general.

You may find affiliate marketing ultimately generates more revenue than AdSense for you. Your topic is one that I've heard is good for both.

The cpc shouldn't have anything to do with the newness of your site. It's possible that the ads aren't as relevant as they will be if your site is new, but they looked pretty relevant to me.

The low cpc is probably more to do with how many blocks of AdSense you're using. Google will usually pace the highest cpc ad as the first link in the first ad block that shows up in your code. So the more blocks of AdSense the lower the overall cpc of the ads on the page will be.

If you've blocked a lot that could be driving the average cpc lower as well if you've blocked some ads paying better than you thought.
