Ive had Adsense for about a week and a half and its great, good ammount of page impressions and clicks... but the problem is, its not making any money at all. One day last week when I put adsense on all pages of my website, it went to 150% CTR that day, and 10% from there. Still, it sais $0.00 when I press all. Whats wrong here? My average is about 12.76%.

I'd be carefull. 150% CTR sounds to me like you're clicking your own ads or you are getting friends to click them. Google will see that as invalid clicks and could possibly ban your account.

10% is considered very good in most cases.

When Google see an invalid click they don't pay. That could be why your stats are showing $0.

How many page impressions are you getting?

From the week about 300, and about 37 clicks.

That seems like a good ratio to me. If your totals are showing $0 with 37 clicks then there's something very suspicious about where the clicks are coming from.

Alec be careful about discussing your CTR in public. It's against Google's TOS. I doubt anything is going to happen because of this thread, but be careful in the future just in case.

The numbers sound very glitchy. First the highest CTR possible is 100%. 150% would mean more people were clicking than actually seeing the ad.

If you are seeing $0.00 and also seeing some clicks Google likely determined the clicks weren't valid and discounted them. It could also have been an odd error at Google. Seeing clicks that produce no revenue is somewhat common and you'll see it again. It is odd though, to see that many clicks without making some money.

There is one other possibility. Since you only recently put AdSense on your site it's possible Google still hasn't quite figured out what your site is about. They may have been serving public service ads since they couldn't understand your content enough to match it with commercial ads. The public service ads don't pay so maybe that would explain what happened. Still seems unlikely to me, but it's a possible explanation I suppose.

I never thought about public service ads. Good catch Vangogh.

It is 'possible' to get more than 100% CTR, although not desirable. For example: If the first visitor of the day was to visit just one page of a site and open an ad in a new window (by right clicking on the ad), then click on the first ad a second time, that would create a 200% CTR for a short time. However, as the day goes on and more people visited without clicking, the CTR would go back down again.

I see what you mean about 100%+ CTR. I hadn't considered that. I actually thought it could have come from someone clicking an ad and clicking back quickly and clicking another ad. I thought maybe Google would someone goof on the impression count while recording both clicks. Your explanation is much more realistic.

The public service ads just popped into my mind while I was writing the post. Still seems unlikely to have that many public services clicks without a regular commercial click, but who knows given how new AdSense was to the site.

I agree, but it's certainly a strange one. I've often read people saying that their Adsense stats were not reporting properly but I've never experienced the problem myself.

Both 150% CTR and 37 click showing $0 seems very strange to me. Perhaps TheAztec will come back and let us know how it pans out.

Hi,
Please help me...I have 2 problems with adsense.

(1) I have adsense on my site for 1 month . Now it has got 600+ impressions but only 2 clicks (although the adsense are relevant and about high paying KW).
(2) And today I got informed by my friend that there is no adsense on my site, although I can see those adsense from my computer.

Is it possible that Google is not counting clicks for any reason or I really not getting clicks ( I never nor my friends clicked on them). And why my friend is not able to see them while he can see them on other sites...
Plz any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
