As long as the content is of good quality then you should increase traffic to your site if it is well promoted!

The payment of the ads really depends on the niche!

My advice would be less ad units more content!

You can then see what works and get a design that suits your niche and converts well, like I did with my Site: Fantasy Football Guru

That doesnt seem good!! Why dont you try another network for a little while and see how that works out. But, I would first try placing the ads in different areas and so on.

I have been getting good payouts on sites with low page rank, and bad payouts on sites with good page rank. PageRank is for noobs!!

My advice would be to set up some split testing and see what works best.
If you dont believe me, what can I do to make you understand.

Here's an example...

As webmaster-talk.com is part of ad-revenue sharing, I am part of another website that does the same. So I have my publisher ID there and myy ads show up next to my articles.

When I looked at my AdSense report, I saw that the clicks from that site were about FOUR TIMES as much as mine. This is because that site is PR5. So you get my point.

BUT I will give you some credit..

PR will affect you more if you are in a low-paying niche. For example, web hosting will have a better average CPC, whereas others may not pay as well.

TRUST ME, as your website and domain gets older, you WILL see a higher CPC rate and will ultimately earn more. So my point is, STICK IN THERE!

If you keep your site going, you will receive the benefits of you SEO work. Selling too early can be really bad as your hard work will go to someone else.

Good Luck.
