9,000 impressions/day site with only 200-300 sitewide adsense impressions?

Hi,

Just like the title says. I have Google adsense ads site-wide on my website that receives 9,000 impressions/day and 4,000 uniques/day. But, in my adsense reports (for quite some time now), it's always 200-300 impressions with a few clicks. Why is this? Did I do something wrong, or is Google just screwing with me? :S.

my impressions seem low too. im kinda getting bummed out by adsense. i have made $3.98 in the last week

1.wow , 9000 impressions/ day , How do you do that ? any tips ?

2. maybe most of your impressions do not comply with google criterias. Do you use Google Analytics ? if not, use it and compare the results.

are you sure your stats are reporting right... are you looking at 9000 page impressions or item impressions... cause that could cause your numbers to be off... if it is page numbers.... then somethign is wrong with how you have adsense placed or something wrong with your tracking ... also make sure someone isn't hot linking your images as that can inflate things.

It's probably your stats reporting incorrectly and nothing much to do with Adsense. If you are using Awstats, then it will also be tracking robot statistics and stats from people that have javascript disabled.

Use an alternate ad to be displayed instead of PSAs. You will be surprised how many times the alternate ad will be displayed. There seems to be a problem with the targetting.

If you really have the time, look at the webserver log to figure out what is happening.

Stats program that is based on server log calculate the unique based on the IPs that pulls the page.

Stats on Adsense and Google Analytics are based on pages loading the javascripts on the page.

What happens when a lot of pages are pulled but the javascripts are not?
You get many uniques registered on the log stats but not on Analytics.

Why will these happen? Many - could be referral log spammers, people using bot to pull your content and by-pass all the known javascripts like ads and analytics. Looking on the actual log will give you some idea.
