I have just started to begin an english blog, and I just want to ask your opinion on the adsense placement.

Is it nice to put adsense on sidebars ?

Test and measure, test and measure then test again.

Only you will know where the best place for your blog is when you put the ads everywhere and find the best positions and also the best combinations, oh yes and the best colours, teh best size, the best style.......

Everyones is different though there are basic guidlines that seem to work like making the ad the same colours as yoru page so it blends in, and bigger ads seem to work well in content, just have to play with it and find out.

Try the left side bar. I find it always better than the right side bar.

If you don't mind an intrusion to your visitors' browsing experience, try putting large rectangle inside the posts. Most of the time, this setup has the best CTR.

Try to put adsense in your blogs actually written content, you will get amazing CTR's there, but sidebars and above and below the posts work as well.

Yeah right next to the content is great. Look at stevepavlina.com, see how he has a rectangle right at the top of his articles, with the text wrapped? That's a good spot.

I personally hate shoving adverts in the middle of my content but I have to agree that it is effective. I'm doing fine with adverts in my sidebar.
