Google co-op (http://www.google.com/coop/) allows custom search engines to be created. The search could be refined and filtered out junk and could also get people to contribute.

Now Adsense account can be linked to the search result from Co-op.

Anyone had tried and gotten result from this?

Dan Raine put up a search for Warrior forums, but it's restricted to 10 results per page I think.. I don't see the difference between Co-op and a straight Google search?

The difference is that with Google Co-op you can make a niche search engine. I think there will be many, many custom search sites popping up over the next few days/weeks/months...some will be useful, and some not so useful. But it's a very neat feature that Google has introduced.

But coop will not allow me to do anything that I can't do on an ordinary search engine right? So it's basically rebranding Google's engine...

I've seen some stuff about Swickis - social search engines that learn about a niche as you use them. Although there's no built in AdSense, it would be easy enough to add it (probably...).

Dont monetize those with adsense, make a site with a ton of landing pages, get them indexed and make them show up in your search results..
