Man, I just put adsense on my main page(s) of my site and not my forums. All based on research I did on the most clickable areas. And I am only at $2.00 in 2 months!!

I am not sure whats wrong with my placement and/or way I am presenting the ads. I have added pictures, blending, blue links (look more like content) and I keep developing the adsense on my site and nothing seems to be working.

Anyone willing to help? I am getting 100-300 unique a day and I am still getting anything.

i dont think your doing anything wrong... i would be willing to say unfortunately the gaming crowd is click friendly for publishers.... as i have a friend that gets 3K a day on gaming site but bearly makes enough to pay server costs... maybe someone with more experience with the gaming crowd can help you out. but if you have only made 2.00 in two months maybe uyou should try some CPA offers as you get 3 of those easy email or zip signups and you will surpass you 2 dollasrs as they pay .90 to 1.50 persignup.

There are Nintendo Wii email/zip signups. Why not give those a go?

I highly suggest CPAEmpire as they have a lot of good gaming-related offers for Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, Nano, Alienware Laptops, etc... The EPC is really high for them too.

Yes I reccomend going the route of CPA as well. However, you may also want to focus on your content as well. Increasing your content and traffic will also help to generate that click revenue.

I've run gaming sites in the past, the truth is that targeting gamers to click ads isn't as effective as other niches.

Try at www.cpaempire.com.

It's as successful as you make it. Personally, I think you could reshuffle your front page to improve your CTR. The top half of the page is a bit clumsy and distracting. It's hard to hit a focal point - your design should drive your users attention towards the ads. Plus, your header graphic is great, so you don't want to spoil it.

The ad links don't match the style of the other links on the front page. They stand out too much. I did a quick mock up of how you could restructure the front page slightly.

I changed the link styles of the right hand navbar (all links on the page should be the same style as the AdSense), made the top navbar more consistent with the style and blended the Google related search ads. Lastly I moved the single box ads to the top left of the page, just under the navigation bar. This is where your users look first, so will get them the highest attention.

I would make more of the AdSense, but there's no doubt CPA will bring more bang for your buck

Wow, thanks for the help I am on it now :P

Adsense only allows 3 ads per page, so should I just do the big block instead of the other way?

Justin - I see you updated the site's design. I know it's early days, but how's the CTR going?

Great!

Let it run for a week or so, then move the AdSense block to the left hand side, and the special offer image to the right. I think that might improve CTR even more..
