Google’s own AdSense experts say that that there is a direct correlation between the placement of the AdSense ads and the resulting clickthrough.
When ads are placed in “content zones”, rather than in “advertising zones”, response rates on Google AdWords goes up. There are also indications showing that ads appearing on the right side of the page get clicked more than ads appearing on the left side.
Advertising analysts with degrees in human behavior and psychology have spent thousands of man-years (people-years?) studying how people read printed and Internet content and what it takes to get them to respond to ads. I think ads appearing on the left get noticed and clicked more because the eyes automatically looks at them for the beginning of the next sentence. Also ads placed in the center of an article gets noticed because one has to skip over it to continue reading.

this you opinion but my revenue increased when ads appearing on the right
and you right about ads placed in center of article it get more clicks if it didn't have frame and appearing as a link in your articles
I would suggest a large rectangle somewhere above the content
larg one not good idea the good is small rectangle banner without frame and binding with the article it will appear as normal link and it will increase clicks
