as i mentioned in another post i just added adsense to my personal blog. i always assumed that ad selection was based solely on content and bid rates but now i'm suspecting otherwise. my biz blog is dark blue, black and white, so it get mostly dark colored ads. I never thought much of it until i added the same code to my personal blog after i migrated it form b2evolution to wordpress. the personal blog has a white background, black text, and neon purple and neon red-pink links. now i'm getting ads with lots of neon! bright greens, blues, purples and reds. not only that but the ad types changed after the first few days of adding adsense to the personal one. at first it was all dating sites, now it's luxury goods, ringtones, and cable internet. it could be that they have the highest bids but i think past click performance is taken into account. it's basic supply vs demand. if more clicks are generated by niche a, send more niche a type ads. am i right?
