Hello, I currently run a celebrity gossip blog and I only average around 8 cents per click. Does anyone have any ideas or tips on how to try and get some higher paying ads for adsense on the site? I would think I should start trying to start mentioning products somewhere in my updates, but that might get tiresome for the readers.

We're having 2.5c clicks. Changing the text won't help much , at least not to a great degree... that's my experience...

Changing the content will help, you can aim at the higher paying keywords

You might have to drop in some brand names in there to get some higher paying adverts.

E.g. if some celebrity was seen with some Prada handbag or something, say so. Mention prada a couple of times in the context of your post etc - nothing blatant just say it in passing or something if you know what I mean

Hopefully adsense will pick these up and people will then click on the linsk to buya cheap prada handbag to look like the stars etc.

8 cents per click is better than mine.. i'm getting 1 cent per click.. anyway, good tip by mattd. i think i'll apply that method on my blog as well.

I have Celebrity photo Blogs and that's about what i get per click. Don't think you can get any higher with that type of site. I am also trying etology but thats even worse. Only 2.5 cents per click.

8c per click aint bad at all for celeb site. i would say be happy your not getting less.

It's really low paying. But I got a great CTR.

Anything celebrity rated usually wont get you a very high click price, you might want to aim for more traffic instead of a higher bid :glare:

As some already mention it post some info about designer clothes, shoes, accessories and you probably will get some more paying ads... but as I heard from all around celebrities doesn't pay much.

It's all about choosing keywords that are not as popular.
