Well, I am having google ads on my Nintendo Wii forums and I am have no success from clicks though I have good impressions. In the past Months (August-September) I have had 1,000+ impressions and I am wondering what am I doing wrong adsense wise and what can I do to improve my click rate?

Where are your ads at?

Edit: Oh I see now, in the posts right? I would suggest adding either a 336x280 or 728x90 banners right under the header.

Right now, you just need ads that stand out more because I have a hard time finding where they are...

generally click through rate sin forums is going to be low, because the whole point of forums is that you browse them. I would suggest doing what hoang said, but apart from that its down to traffic.

I was trying to blend them in so people would jsut click them. I guess I should make them stand out way more?

And Hoang, should I do it right under the header and blend it or make it stand out?

*Added the google add under the header on the forum display like you said Hoang.

Try putting the ad panel across the top of the Forum so its the first thing visitors see.

I will create one and do it on all the pages correct? I recently launched a contest and I hope that will boost vistors and get people posting.

I do submit my news storys on nintendo so I am getting 200-300 uniques a day but they dont seem to click the ads at all.

To be honest... For 2 months and only 1,000+ impressions is not that great traffic so obviously your CTR will be effected. You're just going to have to promote more.

And, I have already improved the clicks. I have about 1,700 impressions on my "wiipoint" channel and I finally have $.40!

It's not just the CTR which is low, it's actually the CPC. I think it's time to try adsense on another niche site, and try another ad network on your nintendo forums.

Gaming CPC has always been rather low for some reason, even with it comes to CPM networks.

Yes, silly me who thought you could calculate CTR via clicks / page impressions * 100. I guess I was wrong, my mistake.

Dude, seriously, remove page impressions and the amount of clicks if you bother to remove the CTR. Is it so hard to understand that little formula?
