Wouldn't it be awesome to have an option to not count clicks from IP's that have clicked the ads in the last X amount of hours?

I reckon this would seriously lower the number of un-needed bans from Adsense.

i mean like a user-defined feature.
because i've seen 200% CTR's on my sites because a user has clicked an ad, gone back, and clicked another ad - it'd be nice to be able to stop that.

I think that is a very good idea. It would certainly help people who otherwise would get banned for apparent click fraud.

givin' the user more control would be nice though.
i am sure some visitors genuinely click ads twice out of pure interest, but i'd prefer to not include the 2nd click so I keep my account.

They should just automatically not count more than 2-3 clicks from the same IP per day. That way even if somebody did try to click their own ads, they wouldn't get far, but especially if they told somebody else to click their ads. Heck, I'm sure Google monitors your login IP and attempts to match your clicks to that IP. if it gets a positive match, then you are in trouble.

I think that if you have AdLogger installed, it can stop showing ads if a user clicks on more than X ads in Y minutes.

It's a little complicated because you need Javascript to get the click record into your DB and that requires interaction between Javascript and PHP or whatever you have driving your site. Once the click frequency of the visitor is recorded, though, you simply quit showing ads when they go above the threshold.

AdLogger is still definitely beta, but you could perhaps pull those parts out of it.

I think it should adopt the method that YPN uses, where they just deduct the money from your account through ****ty traffic and shady clicks. That way you don't get banned but don't make the money either.

Would be much more effective than getting banned. Although then there are the stingy bums who get upset when money goes walkabouts on there accounts.

They should add the option to fully adjust the sizes like bidvertiser does. That would be something!
