My site is getting about 5-6,000 uniques per day (according to my Awstats). But my CTR is very looooooow (about 0,5-0,6% / day) I'm pretty sure I could make much more with Adsense than I'm today. Although I've started to earn a lot more lately than I used to, but the CTR is still very low.

The site is www.dashadyspot.com

I think the ads have pretty good positions and they are blended good. But still, not a lot of people click them.

Do you have any suggestions on what I should/could do to increase the clicks? Should I use section targeting? And if so, where I should put them?

Any and all suggestions are very much appreciated!

Hi Emil,

I think the main problem is the fact that the ads don’t seem to relevant to the site.

For example I got advertisements for “global employee screening” and “nomad lone worker solution”. I don’t think your readers are interested in these adverts. You may have to look at the coding I can’t see any meta data in your source code maybe that has something to do with it!

Try: google.com/support/adsense/bin/answer.py?answer=43998&ctx=en-uk:search&query=relevant%20ads&topic=&type=f

It’s not a big problem which can be easily sorted and with 5-6,000 unique hits per day you will be making $$$ soon.

Good luck.

Make the link titles blue and the rest of the links on your page blue.

Thanks for the reminder about the meta tags. I put up the new design last night and I forgot to add the meta tags. Will do asap.

Vi5 - I'll try to change the link colors. I don't know about blue though, that wouldn't fit with the design. But I'll try. Thanks.

Henry - Hmm I tried to remove that link, but it's still there for me. I went into my Google account and disabled that feature, got a new ad code, uploaded it to the site, but it's still there (for me at least).

Awstats is not very accurate, take about 1/10th of it and that's your accurate estimate. Awstats says I get 50k uniques, yet others all say about 10k uniques.

yep, all the ads seem to be relevant now. Would like to hear if you notice any significant changes to revenue!

Thanks!

All I did was add meta tags, I don't know if that's why though. But the ads seems to be relevant now.

andybh - I actually made less money yesterday than usual. But I'll give it a couple of days. It might have just been a bad day.

Have you tried different arrangement blocks? and Different positioning of your ads? Like put the ads across the page nearer the top left part of the page under your title headers where people's eyeballs go first as they're scanning a page. And just my opinion, but for what it's worth, I think your free downloads header is distracting. They kind of clash. That orange is too much.
Latest news and update news needs to be placed a little further down the page imo. I've noticed google ads on speedreading? on this site? This is supposed to be a music site right? Anyway, the layout is a little confusing to me. Concept is good though.
Good luck!

I have a site that is strictly for adsense, the top ads always have been the highest producers for me. All my links and article titles are the same blue as the add titles so they are blended pretty good, hopefully your adding meta tags will help increase profits.
