Which contextual ads do you use?

I use YPN and have had great results with it. I have used Adsense in the past but my revenue has been much better on YPN.

Anyway, if you vote for "Other" please specify which service you use and why you find it effective.

Wow that's cool. Can you give us a summary statistics of your earnings from YPN vs Adsense.

ypn pays better than adsense
adsense targets better than ypn

avg rpc on adsense: ~.20
avg rpc on ypn: ~.30

I run mostly adsense now... ypn just doesn't get the clicks that ypn does, even though ypn pays much more.

I really wish YPN would go international. I would like to try them out.

i use adsense because ypn is not availible in my country but.
here we should tell which one is exactly better. lets start with adsense.
adsense is good because it has lots of advertisers so that you will get more ads related to your content, however adsense is poor with cost per click, especially in recent times incomes have dropped because adsense has decreased cost per click.
on the other hand ypn pays more per click but lacks the advertisers(in comparison to adsense) this leads to more irrelevant ads to your content, which, unfortunately may lead to decrease in number of clicks.
ypn will go international in 2007, thats like 6 month from now, so get your sites ready

But isn't it true that more clicks and less pay makes for a bad day?

Seriously though, I am interested to know why you chose to stick with Adsense when you are making less on it?? Or did I read your post wrong?

Voted. I use YPN for certain types of sites and Adsense for others.

I also run primarily adsense. I do have a ypn account, but the ad targeting is awful. No one coming to my gaming site is going to click on mortgage ads. If you get any clicks like that it's probably because someone clicked it by accident or was duped into thinking it was something else.

Once YPN goes international it's ppc will probably even out with google.

I use adsense, I might try YPN as it appears to pay more.

yes, you read wrong.

ypn pays better but it gives me MUCH less clicks a day, so

10 clicks x 30 cents is much less than
100 clicks x 20 cents

thus, i use adsense almost exclusivley.

i sometimes rotate ypn in for a day or two to make sure i meet my 100 mark to get paid though

I use both AdSense and YPN. I wish YPN would improve their targeting though...

Agreed. I can get as high as ten times the revenue from YPN, but the clickthrough is horrible.

Ahh, thanks for the clarification! I thought you meant Yahoo paid more TOTAL but now I see that you meant per click.

I am actually highly considering switching back to Adsense for a bit to see what my revenue does. It seems I am the only person so far in this poll who uses YPN exclusively. :-(

if ypn could get their targetting together (or heck, even their search engine) they could be doing a lot better.

but adsense is king. just the amount of advertisers on ypn is much less than adsense. so right away they are at a big disadvantage.
