How many days of no clicks but with substantial traffic do you deem your adsense positioning ineffective? Can anyone comment on my adsense positioning?
It would mean alot. Thank you very much.

If you had substantial traffic (1,000's a day) then ANY day with no clicks is a bad day.
What website are you talking about? We would be happy to give you some advice on positioning, etc ...

It's on my signature, the Beautynomics Blog
Actually, it averages a hundred a day, but I'm still studying SEO ( Drat ), and I'm just wondering if something's wrong with my ads positioning. After all, the extra cash would help! Lol
Thank you so much for your time!

I would suggest the following:
1) See if you can reduce the size of your header, it's the first (and probably only) thing readers see.
2) Lose the large rectangle ad on the right hand side, which should bump up the navigation pane.
3) You have adsense in your articles, but not until the very bottom. Try using a rectangular ad block and placing it "above the fold" - wrapping the text around the ad block.
4) I think using Adsense in a list style (with buttons next to it, as you have) is a good idea, but, again, if it's not "above the fold" 99 times out of 100, nobody will look at it.
5) Finally, the navigation pane(s) are pretty noisy. Try to reduce the eye candy (graphics). Basically, there's way too much going on in the navigation pane for me to focus on the main content, and I find myself being constantly distrcted by it.
Just some advice Remember, less is more in the world of PPC Adsense Advertising. You have control over what your users read, and the goal is to make them read your ads without making them think you've forced them.

Thank you so much for your input! I just lost the sidesquare bar, just now. I'll work on my header, then I'll report back the results!
Again, thank you for your help!

Hi, I think LordKaT said most of it.
As for the header I would definitely make it smaller, leave out the strange looking motto and the search field (which appears once again in the right column). Thus you gain more space for the content (and ads :-).
I would remove the ads in the navigational middle column as navigation is very important to make the user stay longer.
I think you really should distinct the link color from the text color. Why not make all links (except in the navigation maybe) pink, as you used in the ad blocks?
Regarding the AdSense block under the articles - what about making the "Related Entries" links look the same -
Related Entry Title 1 (pink)
First sentence from the related article.
beautynomics.com
Related Entry Title 2
First sentence from the related article.
beautynomics.com
...
AdSense Title (pink)
AdSense description
AdSense url
...
And add more image buttons in the similar style to the left of the related entries?
As for the "place everything above the fold" advice from LordKaT I think that for sites that have interesting content (which you have, I am sure), you need not exaggerate it. People read, people scroll. Sure, the ads above the fold are going to be most clicked on, but no need to stuff all allowed ad blocks in the first part of the page.

Good morning! Oh, okay, I'm trying..to understand what you just said! (I'm pretty slow with these )
"As for the header I would definitely make it smaller, leave out the strange looking motto and the search field (which appears once again in the right column). Thus you gain more space for the content (and ads :-).
I would remove the ads in the navigational middle column as navigation is very important to make the user stay longer. " - I think the "strange looking motto" is my site's theme? hehehe, but I could make the banner smaller.
"think you really should distinct the link color from the text color. Why not make all links (except in the navigation maybe) pink, as you used in the ad blocks?" - Okay, will definitely do that, I'm pretty poor with Adsense color blending, thank you for that input!
"Regarding the AdSense block under the articles - what about making the "Related Entries" links look the same " - CSS work! Okay, I will, work on that!
Thank you for your time and help!

I understand, that you don't want to get rid of your site's motto. It distinguishes your site from the others. Make it at least smaller. You really lose precious space above the fold.

it looks okay, especially as the ad block is located between main content and that technorati and translate stuff it attracts some attention but you have to change some stuff on your blog. first make your header look more clear and simple. second there are lots of icons and small images on your pages, be they delicious icons or technorati logo, they are attracting attention and your no-images-adsense block is vulnerable to be left not noticed. its better if you make your page appear more clear and i would advise to move `categories` block to the upper right corner, to that one where `about me` `subscribe` etc are located and move them more down. well, apply these changes and let me see if i can help you for your next steps best luck

Hi everyone! Well, I'm quite stressed today so I just made a few changes, as you have suggested!
Did the look improve, at least?
( I havent moved categories yet, but will do that asap )
Thank you again, for your help!

I like the reduced size and the removal of the search bar, but the white text really doesn't say anything and really acts as a distraction.
What you might want to do is move the header to the upper-left corner, and use the white text as a slogan, which describes the blog.

Thank you for your insights, LordKat!
Hmm..I'll think of something to do with that header.
I don't think I can manage ads above the fold, but somehow, I think that would be okay since the focus on my blog is my content, the clicks would just be an extra bonus , hopefully
Thank you , all!
