Is this against the TOS? I found a forum post from May of 06 which someone e-mailed Google and they e-mailed back saying that changing the font is fine. Is this legit? I've already submitted an e-mail asking if it's okay but have any of you changed it via CSS?

Is that even possible? The ads are displayed in an iframe right?
I would not know if it is against the TOS.

I would assume that Google would prohibit such an activity.

I highly doubt that publishers would be allowed to change the font. Maybe for premium publishers.

You're not allowed to f**k with the AdSense code in any way

I am not aware of anybody that can adjust the font on their adsense ads. I definately wouldn't trust something you seen posted on the internet.

i think premium publishers are allowed to. i've seen some news sites with different fonts, but those might be onsite signups.

yeah, I am not going to get into what premium publishers can do because I dont have access to those rules yet. As for those guys, I am sure they have managers that tell them, one on one, just exactly what they can do.

as far as i believe it is against TOS
and it is hard to test on adsense because they just ban and dont reply also

Email Google and find out. I would guess it's not allowed, since they're known to be VERY strict with their policies. Good luck. Just remember, ask first. There are people who lose XXX profits for stupid moves.

I had seen more cases where publisher change the search unit font and layout compare to the text ads

You are not allowed I asked it couple of months ago on a Google conference to an official
