Hi, my site is http://animecinema.net/ (surprisingly enough, it is the one in my signature). Does anyone have any tips for improving my click through rate. I started this site sometime after the beginning of this month and my CTR is 0.32%. In the last week I've gotten 49,174 impressions, but only 165 clicks, is this standard for a site my size?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

btw: I'm not quite sure why there is a question mark in the title.

That is also one of my concern. I've been promoting my website but people just dont click on the ads anyway. I think people are aware of that now and they prevent on clicking ads.

People, I figured out that a CTR less than 1% is worthless. On one of my *content* web sites, the CTR is almost 5%, but on the *file download* web site, was a little less than 1% and has been increased to 2%. How?
1. Remove the option of showing image ads. In my opinion, these are useless. I know some of you might say that certain image ads can bring in earnings via CPM - well, I never saw any.
2. Stick to the web page heat map - place AdSense ads in those positions. (you can create your web page heat map through clickdensity and a few other companies)
3. Blend the ad (as Google suggests) but then with the latest click area change, its not going to increase the CTR much.

try these steps

> try using text links and text ads NOT image banners.
> try placing ads between your content which will confuse or encourage visitors to click on ads matching your content for what they visited your site
> use better keywords so that better ads are displayed and you get paid for impression.
> spread your range so that visitors from all over the world visit, this will also effect your click on each earning.

I got good CTR because mostly I am using Google ad image of my all websites. It will attract people to click on it...It would be best if your ads will related to education, sex and business...
