Is anyone living outside the US and getting paid by adsense?

In my country the US dollar is now worth half what it was 5 years ago... I was wondering if anyone has a way to get paid in $US dollars, rather than them converting it to my home currency. So that later, when the $US rises again,
I can just convert it myself and get more money?

For me it wouldn't be worth the effort for a 15 or 20 percent increase... but in two years if the American economy becomes stronger again it could mean doubling the money, which would be well worth it.

In adsense cant u change your payment option as USD instead of opting for your local currency. I presume that when you sign up at that time you can give that option. If you can change that option later I am not very sure.

There are lots of guys who get paid outside US including me and you can also change the currency from USD to local currency and back again to USD. At least I have that option in the Accounts section.

You could always put your payments on hold until the $ stengthens. You might be waiting a while though.

What gringo said. You could put your payments on hold, but with the US dollar situation being what it is, it's not going to crawl out of the hole anytime soon (particularly as they still have yet to feel the fallout from the subprime mortgage situation).

What I would do if I were you is set up a USD account at your bank, get the funds transferred there, and then you can sit on it for as long as you like (or maybe invest in another currency that's about to go through the roof.)

us dollar is going down every where !!!! instead of feeling bad u should feel good that ur country is moving ahead in economy at world level !!!! ur currency is getting stronger in international market !!!!

This actually has been a major problem for me. My Paypal funds are all in dollars and I hold a large amount in that account.

I've noticed that the comparison amount in my native currency £ keeps slipping as the $ slips in world currency.

So if I ever want to use this, it keeps going down in value here in the UK.

i am from malaysia. Recently publishers can withdraw money through Western Union, which I would no need to wait for 2 weeks to receive the check, and another 4 weeks to clear the check. With western union, I can withdraw the money 3 days after the adsense issued the payment. I think you don't need to wait for US dollar to raise up...because no one know what will happen tomorrow, better get your money paid first and get it on hand :P

I live in Ireland we have the Euro the Doller has always been low against Euro well since it was started does'nt realy matter we dont make much from it anyway If you live in Enland its only going to beworse
