I was looking at my adsence stats it says that I have only had 98,000 impressions since I started using adsence 6 months back but thats impossible I have an adsence ad on every page of my forum by my server stats, alexa, quantcast, compete and others I get over 300,000 hits a month by 6 = 24,0000 so my are google's adsence stats off?

Generally speaking, no. What Adsense often reveals is how much traffic counts are artificially inflated. And in your case, you're comparing apples to oranges.

Hits are not the same as page views. Impressions are based on page views. So look at the page views and compare. You'll also need to discount any bot traffic from your stats, any users that have ad blocking software installed (such as the bane of computing, Norton Internet Insecurity) and any users that have Javascript disabled, as big G does within Adsense.

Once you've done those two things, you'll generally find they're pretty close. You can also install Google Analytics to countercheck your stats with.

One page View can have more than one hit.

Hits are how many times a server request is done. Say I have 3 images in a page and so when the page is viewed the page View is one but the Hits are 4. One for the html file (Assume its a HTML page) and then 3 more for the images.
