If it's just hype, why do they have almost 10 times the posts, and why are the members there way more active than every one here!!!!

The only thing i like there is the politics and religion forum. The rest of it is garbage. It's full of digg/stumble exchanges and Cell phone spam

Where do you get the notion that their are paid posters? There is no need for them.
DP's success is probably due to it being one of the best for Adsense 2 or 3 years ago when it was hard to get info and advise on Adsense and it was also a little better in tolerating misplaced posts and whacko ideas.

I hear DP is a dump, full of scammers, spammers, racists, idiots and problematic people. All of evils. It's no hype. It's true.
Any victims here? Do you know terrible things about the DP forums?

And if WMT didn't have mods that legitimately cared about the site, such as chrishirst, vangogh, st0x and others, then the post counts would be just about even.
The numbers mean absolutely nothing...the quality counts. DP = no quality. WMT = quality.

He wasn't referring to paid posters promoting DP...although if there are some to complement the efforts of the braindead lemmings it wouldn't be surprising. What he was referring to is this:
http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=102
There are at least 6 threads looking for paid forum posters on the first page alone.
Most people don't realize this, but Digital Point is derived from the Latin Digitalis Pointless, which translated back into English means "useless online drivel followed by people who couldn't do up their Velcro shoes by themselves."

Do you base this comment on info from someone who knows EVERYONE there? I know a lot of people there and they are most certainly NOT spammers, racists, idiots and/or problematic. For the record, judging a whole body of people by the actions of a few is considered racist.
The net is a big place with room for everyone. Sniping about a group of people is very petty and makes you sound like a whiner. If you don't like them, stop talking about them. You are just making people curious as to what all the fuss is about.

I'm sorry. You're right. Its prejudice. An equally deplorable quality.

I wonder if somebody could measure the signal to noise ratio of both forums...?

Well, if you're judging a whole body of people defined by their race, based on the actions of a few, is racism. Seeing as how digital point members aren't a distinct race, it can be prejudice, but not racism. Which is just as bad.
Sorry, but as someone who makes a living writing software, I'm a stickler for accuracy ... if the idea behind communicating is to share and refine ideas, then we have to all agree on the ground rules of what different words mean, so one person can use them, and everyone else can understand what they're talking about. Basically that's a pointless rant, but a pet peeve of mine.

It's too bad I missed out. Only $10 for a script that lets me have no idea who I'm linking to with my site? This is really the most affordable get-you-banned script I've ever heard of. No, wait, Sawz says other people are giving the same script away for free.
What that has to do with this site not allowing spam ... isn't that hard to figure out.
Funny about that digitalpointers.com in the sig, huh? I wonder what that could be about?
