Something weird about paid email programs

Has anyone here ever used any of those "get paid to read email" services on the Web? I was checking a bunch out awhile ago and signed up for a whole slew of them. One thing that I noticed which is really weird is that at least 3/4 of the programs I found had very similar site layouts and features. The signup process was also always the same, and the emails sent to members were very closely matched among different services. It almost seems to me like a bunch of small companies or individuals are using some kind of website script that is available to webmasters to allow them to start this kind of site, which would explain why they all look so similar (in a way that all vBulletin forums look alike). Has anyone ever seen or heard of such a program?

Of course!

There are several scripts that can be purchased so people can start a PTR program. And there are several of those programs out there with the biggest difference being the website since they are using the same/similar scripts.

Some of them are individuals or small companies, but they have started. Some of them have grown with their membership and I don't know if they can be called small anymore.

We used to have a forum where you could list a PTR or referral type programs and others could join. The rules were tough and it was hard to manage.

What are these programs called? I'd be interested in seeing the websites for the developers of these programs, particularly the extremely popular one. Anyone know where I can find them?

There are several different scripts out for Paid To Read (PTR script) programs. You can find several by doing a search with either PTR script or the full name.

Also, some of the PTR programs will have a link on their webpage to buy the scripts. Check out one of the ones you've joined.

I've seen the scripts sell from $5 to several hundred dollars. I guess it's all in what you want.

None mentioned here since some of these have affiliate programs and I don't know which is best.

I did a quick search on Google, and it appears as messy and unorganized as I had feared! It's not like searching for other scripts, I'll tell 'ya that. I got a lot of webpages that are incredibly long trying to sell you something in order to provide a "get rich quick" experience. Yuck! I wish there was an easier way to tell what the popular script it, although none of the sites mentioned what they were using. Are links to such scripts unallowed on this forum, or why can't any names/links be mentioned?

I put in paid to read scripts and got several results for places that had the script for sale. When I put in PRT scripts, it only had a couple of scripts for sale.

You might want to try that.
