About a month ago a friend told me about me a place just like Facebook. After i made my profile, i got emails from men ( i am female ) I sent them to my yahoo chat box. These crazy men think i am stupid to believe in them, especially from outside of the United States. After a little chat with these men, i find out what they really want, some even wanted money for an investment. A few men wanted to get married to me without even know who i am, they all say, i love you, really lol Thinking about removing these men off, what do you think?

I think that dating site need to be shutdown, there are more men looking for women from the United States to marry them. Every time i ask, where are you from,it the same, over & over again, which is out of the United States. I think anyone who need a dating site to find someone, is a person who has something wrong with them. I need friends to chat with during the day, what i don't want is some man thinking he can have me. Maybe these men need to make a Facebook account and chat with a female, perhaps they might be lucky.

Far from crazy. Fraudulent definitely.

Their intention is identity theft, Money laundering, Immigration fraud, and that's just for starters.

It's probably not the site itself because there is no way of vetting members, but the "dating sites" have become thoroughly overrun with people looking to cheat the immigration laws or maybe cheat the people they contact out of money.
One scam that has been running for a very long time is to gain the trust of someone then ask them (you) to bank a cheque (check) from someone in your country who owes them money, and transfer the money their account via PayPal, MoneyBookers, Western Union etc. You of course can keep a percentage for yourself as a token of appreciation.

This is organised crime funds and/or drug money being made "legitimate" at your expense, because it will be your bank account that gets investigated by the authorities and you that gets arrested.

Then of course there are the bogus "marriages", need I go on??

Most definitely move them off!

I couldn't have explained the situation any better then what Chris has already advised. Even local dating isn't a sure thing anymore......
