So, I thought it would be nice to get everyone a little more. What do you do in life? Student? Where do you work? I thought it might be nice to get to know each other a little.

Personnally, I'm a college ctudent studying Computer Science. I hope to specialize in cryptography or agent programming.

I work in a grocery store *groans*. = I'm also the webmaster for the Student Association at my College (www.assofxg.com), and have a also done some websites as one-time contracts.

On the side, I have two projects: my own site XNet-Nine (www.xnet-nine.com), and am working with a friend (Archie here) on Surreal Visions, an ORPG site.

What about you guys?

Internet Support. Although, our entire IT department provides support for our internet (DSL/Dialup) customers, as well as internal Network/Hardware/Software support. It doesn't pay nearly as much as it should...but at least it pays the bills.

Now i really do feel old at only 30!

Anyway i'm one of the three founders of Glass Enterprises Ltd. Which started out in life about four years ago as three friends getting together to write stuff in C++. Fast forward to today and we provide a whole host of services to other businesses and individuals alike. Successful and growing fast we sometimes can't beleive it ourselves!

Its much better than what i used to do, which was working for a textile company called Marks and Spencers. Where my job was to check that all jumpers in a batch were the same colour!

I am an affiliate support grrrl at a finance company, which means I get to be online all day and help out affiliates who have any issues with their accounts etc. I have spent a lot of years in my bedroom tinkering away at web developing, and occasionally get to do a bit of it when an affiliate requires something like a banner or pages for their site etc. so that's the extra fun part of my job =)

Other than that, I'm your textbook nerdgirl =) Don't judge me! =)

Great thread. I think I'll sticky it. It's interesting to here about what other people do.

I'm 27. I graduated with a Management of Information System Degree.

I currently work full time for an online software company doing search engine optimization work for them (something my degree didnt help with). I work from home.

I also own Webmaster-Talk.com and a slew of other web sites and internet projects.

Lol, Try dipping ceramic door knobs into a bucket of glaze all day.

Moved on from those boring days and now work for Podium Solutions Limited where I’m being trained the art of SEO. The company is based in Manchester so I had to move from my home town of Axminster (yes where the carpets are made) in Devon. If I wanted to stay the only alternative was staying on in the six forms (the carpet factory that is).

Ive now started my own project called the SEO Forum Watch where I report on the latest SEO discussions going on in a number of webmaster forums, this being one of them .
