Riddle Game

I thought it would be interesting to spice things up a bit with a new game.

The rules are fairly simple, the first person asks a riddle and the following people can answer it; and the first one to get it right can then ask a riddle of their own, and so on. If the person doesn't want to ask any, that's fine, the next person can just do that then.

If the questions get to be to tough for some, then the riddler can answer any inquiries about the riddle in a yes/no format, if they're replies are right or wrong, or just give hints if it turns out to be super tough (Don't think that'll happen though, we're a smart bunch).

It doesn't make much difference what type of riddles they are, they could be, What am I? Whodunit? Mathematical inquiries, or basically just general stump the poster types.

PS: I think this can give us a great opportunity to increase our brain power and knowledge.

I'll start off with an (hopefully) easy one:
I'm always hungry,
I must always be fed.
The finger I lick,
will soon become red.
What am I?
