well. it doesn't take much time. I write an article a week in average. I submit it to digg and it has driven some traffic.
My point is: if you use it, you might get a little traffic, a poor link but it takes a little bit of time
if you don't use it: you will be just fine.
So is the general theme here that its not worth the effort?
You won't here me offering a different opinion
there are a couple of groups of members who will bang on about the miraculous effects of it though ...

I was interested in that but mainly I was asking if it is worth doing to generate traffic to your site. But from what I can gather its not worth bothering with.
I know it has a ton of readers and submitters, but I freakin hate Digg! It's "busy-ness" if that's even a word - drives me crazy. I love the interface and ease of use of Mixx! And also because it's an underdog to digg. So I use it.
