I don't own a gun yet, but by the time I'm 19 or so I hope to have at least 5 guns or more. I could get a 9 milli now for about $200 or so, but I don't think I want one now.
Why do you need a gun? Does it make you feel "manlier"? Personally I would rather invest in something with some monetary return.
For protection for family. What if someone broke it to your house and had a gun? I have two guns which include my two fists, but they won't win against a gun.
I won't be buying a gun until I can legally carry it around A buddy of mine has a .45 Beretta. I was thinking of just getting a .40 though. I need something to carry around when i go out of town and such. I am not so worried about people breaking into my house its what happens when I leave my house.

I don't see the big thing with you yanks and guns, doesn't make you any "bigger". I suppose a lot of you are insecure and need a gun just to be protected. Use your fists like normal people do.

I don't know what a Yank is but I am pretty sure I am not one...... you live in the UK I live in the US. Big difference there. When you take a wrong turn in Baltimore and end up in the ghetto driving a nice car and your white you need more protection than your fists.
No one is claiming it makes them bigger and to say that just beause someone owns a gun they think they are better than everyone else is a pretty bad generalization. Some have guns for a hobby and hunting. Some have them for protection. Don't knock on a person that uses a gun within the law.

I am a yank I even live in New York.
I dont like guns becasue they make me feel better but it is just another hobby.
Some people like collecting coins some people like shooting guns and target shooting.
A "yank" is anyone from the US. And that's just my opinion mate.
And I suppose you should be more careful with your directions, think about things before you do it instead of being all "gung ho" like the Americans are seen as being.
My father owns ak47, He bought it legally from the government during 2000's(licensed offcourse). We had used it once when one of the robber tried to get into our house.

Hehe, well - I don't plan on having a gun in my house ever.
Say they break in, what, your just gonna shoot the guy? What if he's unarmed?
Maybe you're going to wait and see if he's armed after he breaks in?
Then you're just risking your life unecessarily, unless your life is worth less than your physical possessions.
