Hello guys, i'm wondering if someone had this experience before
i recieved funds transfer from someone 2days ago and requested a withdrawl
but today i logged in to see my status but the money is gone, my transaction history says this :
Deposit Refund: The amount USD 496.08 has been refunded for Payment 6xxx,191xxxx,1,1 (USD)
note : i have the full number but i removed some of the numbers because i dont know what this number stands for !
so what happened to my money ? did the person who sent the money to me take them back ? or did freelancer take them back to send them to me ?

Which bit of REFUNDED is not clear?????

Just in case it is not, a refund is when money is returned to the account that paid (deposited) it in, which means that the person who paid you the money asked for it back, for some reason.

i know what refunded means
was it refunded to me ? Or was it refunded to the one who sent the money ? and how can he ask for refund after he transfer money to me ?!

It was refunded to your buyer's PayPal account.

AFAIK, any PayPal transaction is a subject for a reversal request within 90 days. The reversal could be requested by the account owner or his bank. If requested by a bank then PayPal is bound by the law and have nothing to do but return the money.

Why I am not surprised freelancer.com punishes the freelancer (you) for any problem with buyer's deposit?
Unfair? Nobody cares.

think you should contact the customer support of the freelancer.com and find the reason behind it.

I couldn't say about it, you have to contact customer service, they give you full details... when was your transaction done , who's the person etc etc
i can just suggest you here.
