I have a client in the UK and I'm looking for the cheapest, most reliable and quickest payment options to receive funds from the client.
I'm in the U.S.
We've been using PayPal but the fee's are 3.9%. It's just too high.
Do you have any idea's/tips as to the cheapest and quickest transaction methods to transfer funds from the UK to the U.S.??
Yes, you can go to various options like AlertPay - which is cheaper than PayPal when it comes to international transactions but we've had a lot of problems with AP in the past. And AP still charges a percentage.
You can also maybe line up a merchant account with various providers but that's still charging a percentage...
If you're looking for the cheapest transaction method - ideally we're talking about flat fee's and avoiding percentages.
I'm currently looking into forex services - they charge a flat fee and exchange rate. Not sure how the exchange rate differs from PayPal's exchange rate.
So...
1) I'd greatly appreciate any experience you've had with international funds transfers...any idea's/tips you have regarding the cheapest, most reliable, and quickest transaction methods.
2) If you have any knowledge of how PayPal's exchange rate....compares with the forex services, let me know.
