I moved this from the contest section to the freelance section. Rules for the contest section say everything must be posted in the thread. Since this is a confidential project and requires the participant to privately contact the contest holder, I feel it is a better fit in the freelance section.

My understanding is that your looking for mock-ups to be submitted and then you will choose the best one, is this correct? When you state entries, I can't stop thinking of a contest of some sort.

Yes that is right, Basicly i will choose the best one. for me this is the best way since not everyone has a portfolio. if its easyer show me your portfolio. if i see from that you have the required talent then its worth you doing a mock up.

All entries so far have been uninspiring and nothing new. i would be much better off to stick with what i have.

unfortunately many will not do mock-ups as it hurts the industry by implying to clients that they only have to pay designers for the work they do only if they like the outcome.

when hiring a designer - it becomes a relationship between the designer and client to narrow in on exactly what you want. doing free-pitches can hurt that relationship in the long-term.

i do wish you the best regardless as I am sure you will still find a few that will do free pitches. they are highly risky and cost a lot of time on our part when your not even sure you have the project.
