This post is to generate interest mainly at the moment .....
Lycos host a chat called
www.worldsbiggestchat.com
I dont know how many of you know of it, but it is a JAVA based chat, but works with all other coding etc .... the capacity is huge, but their problems are bigger. They are coding a new chat version at the moment, but in the mean time are losing their members, which means there is a gap in the market.
I run a site that already deals with the chat and their chatters, people who wish to voice their opinions etc and cannot do it on the chat itself.
I now have approximatly 1100 of its regular users and this is growing everyday.
I HAVE NOT PUT THE WEBSITE LINK IN AS THIS DOES NOT NEED TO BE ADDED AT THIS TIME.
I basically want to know who would be interested in and capable of coding. The Team we would need on the chat coding side will be atleast 7 people, capable in all or one of the following.
JavaScript - Essential
PHP
HTML/XHTML
Asp
We are not 100% on how many of these we will need to use to build the chat/profiles/extras, but we are looking into that now and will be able to give more information on this as and when we know closer to the time. May08 is the provisional time
IF we go ahead.
The only downfall for this is that the chat would have to be "Free to use" so would not instantly generate income, but with time it would of course be able to hold MANY adverts, and there would be some kind of "membership" packages offered to its members for any extra features. So this would suit someone who has free time and would work for free until income started to generate.
