Back in 2006 i started a forum, Which was totally dead and i mean completely dead, It was all useless, Nobody was there to run my forum with me so i was hopeless and sighing that i won't be able to come up with my forums so it is better to shut it down.
But then i realize that patience is the day, Let i wait and see what it'll bring up to me, For 8 months the results were totally negative and i was very much depressed by what i was seeing at that time.
An entertainment forum with many categories but with no active members does not count as a busy forum.
How I Was Able To Bring Up My Forum?
Okay now that's very much interesting that how i was able to come back with my forums. I saw some social bookmarking site which were very much useful and targeting for webmasters, I thought that i should also write some interesting articles for submitting it to different social bookmarking sites.
I done that and also told my friends to take a review at them and rate them so that i may get more and more visitors.
With my unique contents, neat and clean posts i was able to get some visitors from that day:001_rolleyes:.
But i was not looking for 500 uniques a day, I was looking for more, And after submitting some articles to social bookmarking sites day by day, I started to do Link Exchange with other forums which brings me more and more visitors
. Afterthat, I started to advertise my website on well-known respected website's which were getting around 50k hits a day.
I just advertised my website for a month and then i stopped it, Because my forums were busy from that day
.
This was not yet done for me, This was bringing me around 4000 uniques a day.
Finally, I also started to refer my website on orkut, hi5 and other websites for free as-usual.
I also mailed my friends my website to visit it and pass it on to other buddies which they did for me and i was quiet happy by seeing the results, And right now i am getting 10k uniques daily
Basically my website was getting hits due to:
- Social Bookmarking Websites.
- Advertisement.
- Link Exchange.
- Orkut, Hi5 and other communities.
- Sending E-mail to my friends.
- Word-To-Mouth
- SEO(Search Engine Optimization)
How I Am Making Money?
Everyone likes to make some $$$ with internet and with their hard-working efforts on their websites, forums, blogs & etc, I was also looking for some pie

Internet is a jungle of information, making revenue and more, There are so many advertisers which will generously increase your revenue without any hasslements, Just place their banners and earn money, It's that simple
Or you can try the hard way by breaking rocks in sunlight
, Anyways back to point.
In the early days, I was using Google Adsense, A contextual advertising program. And the internet's most popular money-making program which is bringing favour to both advertisers & publishers.
Google Adsense is one of the best affiliate programs that i've ever seen in my whole internet life really.
I was making around $250 / Month with Google Adsense and then i quitted with GA because i was getting clickbombs daily
, That's the thing that you must avoid!! And that's what i was doing.
Afterthat, I started to use Kontera, CPXInteractive and more affiliate programs to fill up my pocket with dollars

Google ADSense is now removed from my money-making list and now here is the new affiliate list:
- Kontera
- CPXInteractive
- MediaJump
- LinkWorth
Kontera is in-text advertisement which will target the best suitable keywords and will underline it, When user find's it useful, he/she will click it which will bring up $$ to you, Usually sometimes, It also slow downs the website.
CPXInteractive is also my favourite, I am not using their pop-up banners but i am using their leaderboard banners which is bringing me around $5 a day, They are simple : Give'em clicks, Get cash.You are also paid on CPM basis if you're using their popups.
MediaJump is a network of ASK.com and they are using contextual search engine for the revenue, Use their search box on your website and you will be paid whenever user will search for anything and will click on their paid listings
LinkWorth is a kind of link selling program, Whenever user finds it valuable to purchase a link, You'll be contacted via a notification in your LW's account.
If you want to accept it, Just press the YES button and use the code and place the advertiser's link on your website and get cash, Or either you can decline the link and wait for other advertiser's:arabia:.
How Much I Am Earning?
Hmmmmm ........ from my point-of-view i am just generating a normal income which is enough here in Pakistan.
I am generating about
$500 - $1000 Monthly.
My Overall Experience And Advice:
Buddies, Don't be upset when you are failing with your website, Just keep a hope and start working on your website daily.
Use the techniques which i've provided, And maybe you'll find them useful

Make a website which is user-friendly, Content rich, and clean and i am sure that you will get visitors along with $$.
Use SEO and other stuffs to bring visitors to your website, Update your website daily for more hits.
I am loving internet and so others are also, With my website i am quiet very much happy to get new visitors day by day and also i can earn money by relaxing at home, Although i was not very much happy in my early-days but somehow, I am very much happy right now with what i've done to monetize my website and to generate revenue.
