I cant believe how many users visit my website only to leave instantly! I could understand it if my website wasn't what they were after but sometimes it's just ridiculous.

For example, I use AdWords quite a lot and one of my keywords is 'website design packages'. The first thing that my website says is 'Website Design Packages UK' (see here). A lot of people get to my site through Adwords by searching for this keyphrase only to leave instantly without even looking around.

Why search for website design packages and bounce back from a website that serves just that??

Sometimes I notice that it's probably just other competitors (e.g. visitors who use safari, mac osx etc are probably going to be other designers) but a LOT of visitors who are using IE at a relatively low resolution do the exact same thing. And I assume that these people are genuine users that are actually looking for website design services, unless they're total beginner designers who are researching the industry.

Could it be that there's just something seriously wrong with my homepage?? Or does everyone have this sort of problem?

Does Google Adwords Hate Minisites? (Quality Score Issues)

Hi everyone!

Perhaps this sounds familiar to you:

I have 2 so-called mini-sites, just like so many people on this forum. (Here's one example: www unlockwritersblock.info )

I used to run an Adwords campaign that did really, really good - until one day - when my quality score dropped to 1 (one!) and the ads stopped working.

Now, Google is asking me to bid $10 per keyword or increase the score of my site.

So my dilemma is simple, yet the problem seems so overwhelming: how can I get around this problem? How can I pay a decent sum for my keywords and still be able to run my campaigns?

Should I break the sales letter into more pages of content and fiddle around with the keywords, alt tags and such? This means I'll have to re-think the selling process altogether and switch to another model.

Should I keep its current structure and do something about the keyword density, ALT tags and other small gimmicks? Will that guarantee a substantial increase in site score?

Should I use "gateway" pages as landing pages, full of relevant content, with a clean HTML code and then make the visitors click on a link and visit my main page?

What really bafflles me :15sm is that I have seen websites just like mine that are constantly being advertised on Adwords. One example would be searching for a product title like "The magic of making up". There are tons of ads that lead to minisites! And I can't imagine they're paying $10 per click. :micro What are they doing differently?

So, does anyone know the solution to this mystery?

Thank you so much in advance!

When you enter the amount your prepared to pay per keyword to get your ad higher in the search results is there any way of knowing what your competitors are paying?
I selected £0.20p is this miles under?

Hi,

I am having this problem since over a month now. My site was doing well and being displayed in Google sponsored listing, and suddenly the ads stopped coming. Changed the content, thinking it to be a problem of bad landing page, but no success.

I then developed a new site from scratch, and hosted it on a new domain. I tested it for a week on Google sponsored listing and it was working fine. I then moved the contents of the new site to the old site thinking that except for the domain name everything was different and working. But, the as soon as it was moved to the earlier domain, the site got removed from sponsored listings.

I don't think it is a problem of poor landing quality, because then the new site should not have worked. As soon as it was moved to the earlier domain, it got delisted. Is it that the domain has been blacklisted by google. Although, the site is coming in google search.

I have another problem too, that when I get my site in google search it is showing cached pages in results. How can I get Google to remove the cached data?

Please help. thanks

I have created a second AdWords account to link to my copywriting services but my ad has been disapproved for improperly displaying my destination URL. My URL is my URL...no tricks, no hidden agenda; I just don't know how to correct whatever Google is seeing that is wrong! I get very clear descriptions of what I am SUPPOSED to do, I have done exactly what the description says and yet I cannot get it approved or get any further information. Any ideas? My website is from Yola so it often displays as www.mcommunicators.yola.com but I have tried both options (with or without the yola and it still gets disapproved. I am desperate. I paid in advance but my ads are not displaying!
