Hi Guys
I have an ecommerce site that sells a unique product.
As it is unique people will not be searching for it.
So they need to see a picture of it.
So I want to find some cost effective banner advertising sites.
There is such a huge variation in them.

Some are upmarket and charge a fortune (for me) and say their ads appear on big name companies.
Others are very small and have hardly any publishers and charge less, but pro rata much more than the bigger sites !

I would be pleased to receive any recommendations from similar companies to mine that have actually used some of these companies.

I have dealt with buysellads.com - are they what you are looking for? If so If found them pretty decent...

I have looked at BuySellads, and to me they look very expensive for a small company to use.

I think many websites and blogs have an inflated idea of what their space is worth.

As long as it is attractive and detailed people will surely find it interesting.

First you need to choose the site in which the your target customers or client might be visiting then you can decide the cost for the banner

If you have some traffic to your site, use re-targeting networks like adrolls. Usually around 98% of your visitors leave without buying anything, but they were at your site for a reason. You can target those visitors with banners when they are visiting other sites.

You can even target people who visited a specific page on your site.

1. BuySellAds is a great option. The only thing I don't like about them is that there's no country targeting, i.e. I would end up getting lots of visitors, but mostly from 3rd world countries who won't convert.

When it comes to advertising, there's no such thing as cheap or expensive, there's ROI.

If you have 100 visitors who buy your 10$ ebook, who cares that the banner costs you 500$? It works!

2. Some side ideas.

Banner ads work in a funny way. I have found that 125x125 are a waste of time, so I always chase leaderboards. I also play with different design and wording.

Besides, I analyse banners of my niche trendsetters to get an idea what should make people want to click.

With low rates suitable for a company like mine with a low cost product.

go to PPC sites, I'm sure if you pay them to advertise their site, and what not. I think the more it's more attractive since everybody gives a pay per click website a chance!

Yes, but I am asking you to recommend one for me that has low rates (with good sites of course)

Hey Digmen1,

Its not often I feel that I might be able to help someone out

- when i saw your post I thought I'd take a quick snapshot of adwords for you. As you can see in the image, when you go to create a new ad, you have the option of an image ad. Although this will pretty much never appear in googles serp, you will be shown on thousands of sites that use adsense (googles ad display network - ie: other websites displaying ads to earn a share of the money from google adwords sales). Depending upon your keywords, you can pay very little for unique products as there is generally very low competition.

Adwords image ad will do you a lot of favor. It's cost effective too as you can allocate a budget as to how your banner ads will appear to site pages. Facebook is open for image advertising as well. You might want to check it out.

These days facebook is more preferred way to advertise rather than Google and other. First of all its cost effective and redirect more targeted traffic.

I'd like to agree with you.
But I think you must be the only person in the world that thinks Facebook is better than Google.
