A couple of days ago we received an e mail from Paypal, confirming a payment of $29.99 had been sent from our account to a lady in Texas.
As we were not aware of the lady or having sent her any payment we were a bit concerned.
The e mail contained a prominent 'button' stating " Dispute Payment". Obviously there was a huge temptation to click this button, but fortunately commonsense prevailed, and we checked our Paypal account (not through the e mail) only to find no such transaction had taken place.
This is obviously some kind of scam to obtain your Paypal details. The e mail looked genuine, and was very convincing.
Beware.

never ever click links from email that route to any payment provider.
only go to their site directly through browser www.paypal.com.

Go into your PayPal account -- they have a specific area where you can report "spoof" emails; trust me ... PayPal enjoys getting those reports and taking action against the perp.

And remember, Paypal always refers to you be your name.

Firefox 2.0 will sometimes alert you if you have come across a website suspected of being fraudulent.
