what is your return on your investment with adsense? How much does it cost you? And what are the sales resulting from this advertising? Hope you do not mind me asking.

Theiceman those are pretty good sites. I like digital icing because it caters to growing market. People who use MySpace. I like the Bugati Veron layout template, i'm putting into my MySpace as I am posting this. Here's that links if you want to add me for social media marketing purposes. Buck Roberts's MySpace
Social media marketing is getting big. I started SMOing my site on about 20 media sites. I started getting results the first day.
You are one the right track with that site. You might consider adding some stuff for Ning as well. Ning looks like it will get pretty big in the future.
ddwyer30 I don't make anything on Adsense. I ran some sites before use a similar business model to the one I will be implementing on my current site when traffic increases and they averaged about 1500% ROI. Right now I run at a loss.

Thanks for that I admit, we came into the myspace thing a bit late in the game. It will take more to make the site popular, but there is always room for growth in social networking sites.
Thanks for the tip on Ning. Will check out the site. One of the goals as digitalicing grows is to have content / templates that can be used on other sites besides myspace - such as friendster and hi5.
I have added you as a myspace friend. myspace.com/digitalicing

Hi,
I think it's great that so many experienced AdSense marketers are here. Without giving away too much - can anyone share part of what they do to obtain this income. I am sure many others would like to know at least some of the methods used.
Not everyone will be able to make the same income as that stated but if someone is currently making $100 a month and with a few tips they could make $150 I am sure they would be really grateful.

Maybe use a little bit better graphics to illustrate items for sale. Higher resolution. Maybe get an ebay store. Advertise offline or with social groups as well as your online marketing efforts. Use social media. Get customers to write reviews of some of the products they buy.

I think if you can put a network of sites together that can feed off of eachother, that is one way to get there. Then obviously word of mouth, and PR... A great site to develop some PR, is PRWeb.com
They even let you post free Press releases, however the paid ones get the most exposure.

Blackbabygurl if you are going to post links. Post links that open actual web sites.
pickadev PRweb looks useful. I think their are some programs on that my browser doesn't like, maybe it is my browser verison. I have the latest version of EI but I am running it on XP.

I once made 3000€ p/m (almost 4000$) end of 2005 - mid 2006, but had to shut down due to lack of time and laws here in Germany (allthough not illegal)..
If anybody is interested. I still have the Domains ;P (would never sell them, but maybe someone is interested in building it up again, only for people living in Asia
, Russia, etc.)

$4K/month isn't even enough to quit my job over. I know many people who've gone the self employed route. So, they've got to be making a min of $10K/month just for stability.
How is it possible that experts in SEO are making less than this? At least 80% of the responders to this question seem to indicate that they aren't even close. A couple of the ones appearing to make money look more like ads than reality.
What's going on? I'm sorry but, this thread has left me confused.

Hello there.. your post makes me laugh .. You'll be shocked when u read the next few lines in this post.
I'm from India, (I think you'd have guessed it by now).. and the starting salary for a fresh graduate can be something like 200$ a month. Thats 2400$ an year.. which is roughly half of this monthly 4000$ thing.
People (married) live within this budget. I'm guessing that you'd have realised the true value of money now.

Well I don't make that kind of money a month, but I have made anywhere from 500.00 to 2k in a month.
I am hoping that will sky rocket with some of the newer products I am about to release.

Oh, c'mon people -- like we say in my native Texas -- "You can bull$hit a bull$hitter, but don't try to outsnow this snowman!"
Crap -- if I was making an ALLEGED $10 - $16K every month, I sure as hell wouldn't be on a forum bragging ... if it smells fishy, it must be time to reel it in and go home.
