I was wondering if there were any investors on this forum that will be willing to invest in a large webmaster project i am hoping to set up. I will need around $X,XXX high to $XX,XXX mid.

As you can see this is going to be a very large project so could be brining in a few thousand a month from the off set.

Please post or PM here if your interested.

You will get a large proportion of the site or business. We can work it out so we bring in monthly revenue and split it or we can work it out to sell after a period of time.

Ah, so you posted on a webmaster forum, hoping for somebody to ask for more information. And when they do, you refuse it because they supposedly haven't got enough money??!

I know you've gotta keep your idea safe, but nobody's going to surrender that much money without knowing what it's going towards!

No im not refusing more information. I will explain in short what the site is.

Basically its going to be a large webmaster site, it will be somewhat like sitepoint is with the range of seo, htlm, php etc articles but also add some features of other sites. It will have a section for novice and experience coders to learn from scratch or to pick up on some new techniques and learn some new types to expend their knowledge.

I will also have a forum added to the site and a market place for designers and web developers to trade their sites and domain names etc.

I will hopefully add a search engine to the site so users can search through sites only webmaster related but this will take some time and may be added after the site has come up.

You may belive this has all been done before but i belive a place like this with a few other features that im thinking about could be a huge hit!

Everything will be explained in the business plan if you wish to invest in this

That's a bit more like it

Search for "Angel investors". I once put one up and received interest from 3 seperate people - but you have to pay £100 ($170 ish) to contact them.

Exactly, im not looking to spend a year or two setting up this site so it becomes big, im thinking about getting it up toa large size fast so it can take a proportion of the market quickly and make revenue which on my recent market research should be VERY high.

That's always the case...

Seriously though, the best type of market research is proof - do it on a small scale and build it up. Not only will you be satisfied, but you're much more likely to get investors.

Also, you should be prepared to make investments yourself - eg. the £100 it may cost to receive an investor, and of course the time for the project. There's no such thing as free money in this world!

Im not 100% sure what you meant by this point. Are you saying to start the site small and get investors to invest into it while its running or are you saying i should i should carry out market research as that is what im currently doing.

I am willing to invest myself as i will be running and building up this project. Before i spend £100 i would like to see if there is anyone who will invest in this without spending money as i would rather put money towards the project itself but i do see where your coming from.

start promoting on a lower scale. set priorities (100 uniques a day, 250 uniques a day, 500 uniques a day, etc..)

if you hold this on for some time and have proof you did so, you will find some investors because they know their money won't be wasted harvey i think that is what you ment.. correct me if i'm wrong
