I just came across this site recently and after reading a few of the threads on here, I have come to the conclusion that I am doing something wrong when it comes to advertising on my site.

Right now I am averaging around 15-20 thousand unique visitors/month and around 2.5-3 million page views/month (give or take). Sometimes those numbers are a little less, sometimes a little more but it hasn't dipped below 15000 uniques and 2.5M page views monthly at any point this year.

So question is, how do I maximize revenue? Right now I'm running adsense on 90% of the pages which usually brings in $2-$5/day ( yay ).

FYI, this is a content/entertainment type site targetting a particular niche where some sections have user provided content and in other areas I come up with new, original content. I'd rather not specifically state the name of the site for various reasons but hopefully I've provided enough information where somewhat informed opinions could be provided.

Quick bit of maths says that your visitors are looking at about 150 pages each and you are a receiving a CPM of about $0.05. Something seems very odd there.

My first reaction is that either the page views figure is wrong, or you have some spiders clocking up some serious non-paying page views.

That aside though 600/700 uniques a day should be earning you more than a few bucks. Any chance of posting / PMing a link? Could be that you are missing out on something obvious.

The lowest earning Adsense site I have worked on was clocking up an CPM of about $2 (soon fixed that). The highest was about $320 and I am sure that plenty of people go higher than that. Your topic won't ever be at the top end of that, but if your traffic figures are right you should be getting a good regular income from Adsense alone.
