Hi I was going to open a website where I can sell things and just wanted to know if anyone knows a good place to get things straight from the factory where they make the product. I don't want to buy from like the 7th hand and sell from there. So if anyone knows how or can just give some tips please do!

all depends WHAT you intend to sell and where you are in the world. Not much good buying wholesale from the US if you are based in Sweden, the shipping costs would be somewhat expensive.

BTW do you have storage and distribution organised for the items you will be buying wholesale? Because by the wording of your post you don't quite know what "Buying wholesale" actually means.

It means that you buy several hundred (or thousands) of EACH the items you are advertising, store them, sell them on at a profit and ship them to your customer.
This could mean a very large initial outlay it sounds like you are hoping to start with nothing at all or a very small budget and magically earn money from that.

I would suggest you are actually looking for Drop Shippers where you sell the item from your website, shop etc, the customer pays you, then you order from and pay the supplier/manufacturer and they then ship the item to your customer.

How can I find a Drop Shipper, I looked around but how can I know who to trust and who is legit?
Thanks for helping.

As with any business, Due diligence is the key.

Decide what you want to sell then look for shippers/suppliers. Read their T&C fully don't just click "I have read and agree to", search on the company name. You may not find anything good about them, but will find if anyone is complaining about them.
Do they have a phone number that gets answered?
Does the contact email get responded to?
Will the send you "testimonials" you can use to enquire about them?
Do they have a real postal address?

have a read at http://www.webmaster-talk.com/ecomme...-shippers.html

Mattsa,

I am the opposite of you. I make a new unique product and am trying to find people with website who will sell it.
It is not very easy.
I am several drop shipper lists, but no enquiries so far after 6 months !

But as the other guy says, what sort of stuff are you hoping to sell ! ? You would have to know something about them eg books, cosmetics, tech gear ? music ?

How much capital do you have to buy stock ?

How are you going to get buyers ? visitors ?

What country are you in ?

We are an audio/video cable and connector manufacturer. If you want a/v cable and connectors contact us....

But, as was said before it all depends on what you are looking to wholesale.
