need to add a link to my site where people can pay for and download my ebook, paypal

hi, i tried zen cart and it worked out horrible, its not very customizable and looks very "out of the box". i was wondering if anyone knows an easy way to put a link on my site where people can click on it and reach a pay page that goes to my paypal account, and after they pay, they get to download my ebook. i couldnt get zen cart to work. any help GREATLY appreciated.

There is a custom Softgoods and Digital Downloads module available for MIVA Merchant that does what you want. But you'd need a shopping cart not just a "link." It can be customized to your liking too.

open an paypal account, look inot the merchant tools and get a " add to cart" or buy now button. After payment you can sent them via paypal to the download page

I think you might learn to use zen-cart and I do think zen-cart might be the most powerful system and of course sometimes appears complex.

Zen-cart has built-in support for paypal by 3 Payment Modules under "module->payment" menu in your admin area: Paypal IPN, Paypal website payments pro and Paypal express checkout.

You have one product to sell? Don't use Zencart. I've experimented and modified zencart sites for various clients - and for one product, Zencart is definitely going to be overkill. For most sites, Zencart is overkill. Only use it if you have 100+ products, but then I'd recommend Drupal's popular e-commerce module, Ubercart, 'cause Zen is just, in short, trashy.

For you, I'd recommend Google Checkout. It's simple, it's universally accepted (I'm not saying that PayPal isn't, mind you), and they don't take exorbitant cuts of your profits (now I AM saying that PayPal does). Google Checkout also has a number of almost stupid-simple methods to implement the cart/buy-now buttons on to your site. Go Google Checkout!
