I am working on a site for someone who does NOT need a shopping cart that has buying functionality HOWEVER he would like people to be able to add things to a list and then those items would be emailed to him and he could check inventory and get back to the customer...do you know of coding for anything like that or where to begin looking for that sort of thing?

He does antiques so he can't always have the specific item in stock, but he wants to be able to get people's lists sent to him and he can go from there. So ideally it would look like a shopping cart where people would click on items, add it to their cart if they liked them and then at the very end just fill out a contact form with their info where he would get back to them about availability etc.

Something like a wish list that emails him, maybe? Bah, I have never seen anything like this but it has to be out there somewhere!

The less complex, the better (I don't do heavy back end coding, I am more HTML, CSS kinda person but will suggest him otherwise if needed).

You could probably modify oscommerce to do this.
