what is more important, site loading time or design. There seem's to be a lot of views out there that to be a market leader you need to have a really flashy website?? Is this true, or should you focus on simple and fast?

Hi,

I think you have to spent much time on design because if your site load fast but didn't make appeal to user than you will lost your business.

if you have good site than later we will increase your speed it will take less time and effort compare to the designing.

Both are important and not one over the other.

If the website is low quality and unprofessional, you're going to loose potential customers because you won't look legit or trustworthy. If your website doesn't load fast, you'll loose potential customers who get tired of a long wait.

Their is no excuse for poor design or slow load time if you're serious about marketing on the web. There's no reason why a website can't be beautifully designed and load quickly.

Speed and looking professional I would say, if your going to make a flashy site that takes forever to load, I for one would hit the back button and go onwards to something else. If it looks bad I will take a look if its fast but wont dare spend any money on it.

I personaly believe if depends on what your site is gonna focus on, certain sites are better to keep it simple not too much flash so a average clean design would do. Some site require lots of graphics flash to be appealing to the your customer.

Figure out what your target market wants.

Business sites - Plain - Simple - Non-Flashy - But Heavy In Content ( Spread out of course -- This will keep it speedy )

Blogs - Flash Design? Ok, but keep simple with flash

Personal Sites - Flash Design? Ok...Can be designed heavy with flash content to illustrate a portfolio for example.

Of course, if you have better results with a different 'configuration' from what I stated above, please post, and let me know the details of the kind of site...You can always post in the site review section. I will probably find it eventually.

That should take care of business!
Good Luck!

Both aspects are very important. A good web design should have a fast loading time. Design and speed make an appealing website.
