I'm looking for advice on a bulk SMS service or SMS gateway.

I'm preparing an online subscription business that I'd like to feature daily text messages to customers of information I define. So I was hoping to get some advice from anyone who might have experience in a similar area or with SMS gateways.

I've seen some online, clickatell.com is one, but I wasn't sure if anyone has a preferred gateway or just some advice for someone dabbling in this area.

Do you mean SMS payment gateway or just gateway? If just a gateway you might find better traction trying a different section than e-commerce.

Maybe you can tell me what would work best... I'm not entirely positive I'm looking for the right thing.

My business is subscription based that is going to send daily text messages to all the subscribers with information I provide. I don't need the subscribers to be able to respond or text me or anything of that sort.... I just need a medium to send out mass messages each day.

Yah that would just be a gateway not payment gateway. The virtualgsm thing I linked I believe is along the lines of what your looking for. The clickatell.com service you mentioned also appears to be one of the large providers of sms gateways.
