Hi,
I'm now using a mobile phone payment system. It works with over a hundred mobile operators including all the "biggies" in the US & Europe, and in 15 countries.
You put payment buttons (or a button) on your site, and when a customer clicks on it they're asked to insert their mobile number. The system then texts them (sends them an SMS) asking them to reply "Yes" or "y" if they wish to complete the purchase.
If the customer replies "Yes", the system then guarantees your payment (it's guaranteed by the mobile carriers), and the customer is billed the item (your ebook) at the end of their billing cycle as a premium sms. If the customer is on a "prepaid" mobile, the credit is deducted immediately.
Either way, the customer needs no credit card, no age verification, no address verification and no id.
You (the webmaster) on the other hand, need no merchant account, no complicated "integration" with your site, the fees are VERY low (and can even be billed to the customer as well!) and chargebacks are pretty much non-existent.
It's working really well for me on a few of my sites, it's free to join and use as a merchant, and, in my opinion, beats Paypal hands down.
If you're interested, check it out via the link on my sig - if you'd rather skip the firstname and email part (although you won't then get my newsletters), just type /thx4all.html after the domain name to get straight to the video explanation.
Good luck with whichever payment methods you finally choose.
Daniel
