Now that USPS has come online, its easier than ever to send a product from your office. UPS and Fed-Ex ground offers great solutions too but I'm not as familiar with them.

CLick-N-Ship is the system offered by the US postal service online. Its a simple system along with a checkout that makes it easy to print off up to 10 labels with postage at the same time. You'll need a scale to make it work but even for boxes, they provide them free. Order them off the website and they get delivered to you without costs. The only other thing you will need is packing tape (that clear plastic stuff that's sturdy) and peanuts if you use boxes bigger than your merchandise or if your merchandise is fragile and needs some cushion.

Anyone use click-n-ship? If you haven't tried it lately, you have missed out. They keep making the process easier and faster for the merchant.

I once used click-n-ship back in the day and wasn't very pleased. I ended up switching to endicia.com to print my postage for USPS delivery and I was happy with them. I still use it to this day for shirts that I ship out or phone cables for my sprint community.

What is the monthly fee for click-n-ship these days or is there one?

Click-n-ship costs nothing to maintain. A credit card is kept on file but they do not charge anything other than actual postage. I think its a great solution. Much better today than last year and worlds better than 2 years ago.

Yeah, I was using it 1-2 years ago, I may need to revisit it again now that it has improved...

You should consider yourselves to be lucky to have such solutions in the US.
In Hong Kong, we have to use an authorized postage franker. The set-up we have got costed us more than US$3000. The scales on it own costed $700. There is a yearly maintence fee of $300 and the postal service can recall the franker for inspection anytime it wants. Also, once the postage has been franked, the parcel must be posted within the same day to a designated post office.

I use UPS and USPS and both are needed. Click N Ship is vastly superior to what the post office offered a couple years ago. Also, amazingly, postal is way cheaper than UPS for lightweight packages.
Even if it's over 7lb, if you can use their flat rate boxes, they cream UPS on price.

I use Endicia and UPS World Ship. I took over my company a year ago, and they were stuck in a 5 year contract with Pitney Bows where they leased the machine for $2,000 a year, they thought it was a rent to own..but we have
to surrender the machine back to PB in Feburary. Good riddance.

I've been happy with Endicia so far, going to $35/mo from $200 is HUGE on the bottom line, and well worth the $35/mo
I'll take a look into click n ship, but anything I've seen from USPS hasn't been up to speed with my needs.

We use USPS online and UPS Worldship, just depending on who is cheaper and where the package is going. USPS has gotten worlds better in the last 2 years and their service is just as good or better than the other carriers.

UPS for items drop-shipped (kind of stuck with it), USPS for the rest. It really is amazing how far USPS has come in the past few years. I used to think of them as less reliable but would now rank them up there with ups and fedex in terms of reliability.
