Good day to you all! I can't figure out why we get so many visitors to our website but no sales? I have researched prices and we seem to be the lowest or at least competitive to the other related sites. Maybe someone here can see something that maybe were missing that holds a clue?
Thanks to Gx3 Grafix we have a beautiful new logo/header for our site.

Thanks a bunch and have a great day!

Best Regards,

Tony Kauffman

Dear Usvetsnet

Your site is very good looking, congrats. How long time Online ?

It's difficult to say why you are not getting any sale without any further data.
Do you know what items your competitors are selling best and how much money they make ? How many visitors are you getting, and how many your competitors ? Are you using Analytics to know where your visitors are coming from ?

< removed self promo text >

Don't throw money at all kind of advertising, link building or whatsoever before you don't know exactly how to get results. OK

I tried to make sales for over 3 month without any result, then after 3 days at the Internet University I started to get sales and hope to break even soon (I use YSM.

Hope this could help

Nice looking site. Keep up the good work, it looks like you are almost there.

The easiest thing you could do would be putting a featured product or two on the homepage and making it stick out. Something people might be interested in buying.

I heard somewhere that the #1 cause of lost sales is a confusing checkout process. Anything you can do to make your checkout easier and less confusing will help increase revenue.

On a side note, a conversion rate of 1% or less is not out of the ordinary.

If you are not in there already, figure out how to submit to google base (commonly referred to as froogle).

One factor causing this is that your visitors are not targeted.

Market to your niche.

That would attract visitors who Want to Buy, Read, or Get some Freebies on what you are offering.

Visit your competitors site. What makes this site different than yours? Is the site design pleasing to the eye? Can you find your way around the site easily? The number one reason visitors leave a web site quickly is because they can't find what they are looking for within a few seconds of visiting it.

Now go back and look at your site again. Think of yourself as a first time visitor. Where are the products? Can you find them easily or do you have to hunt them down? If so fix it. You should have your best selling product right on the front page. At the TOP of the page so it is the first thing they see when they get there. Most people will only spend a few seconds looking for what they want. After that, they will go somewhere else to find it.

Be dramatic with your text. Use words like: Huge Sale This Month Only! Save BIG This Week! or something along those lines. Add a link to this text so visitors will be sent to the product page when they click on it. Place it right in the middle of the page with at least a few lines of white space above and below it so it will stand out. Use a bright colored text ( like red ) if you have to. Something to grab they're attention.

Most folks just don't understand that you only have a few seconds to get a visitors attention when they visit your web page. If they don't find what they want within these few seconds they WILL go somewhere else.
Good luck to you.
Hugs, Penelope.

The first impression I got was that your site was just about information for flags. The home page doesn't give any obvious clues that it's an online store, I know you have some text in your description but that just doesn't work because people scan web pages and won't notice it unless you grab their attention (typically you have less than 3-4 seconds to do so).

I suggest the following...

1. Put a row of products right at the top of the page just below you page heading, call them "Special offers" or "Featured products"
2. Underneath that put your free shipping message
3. Then, optionally put another row of products, add your page description

Lose the banners and external links off the home page, category pages and product pages, you have a links page for those. Leaving them gives people the chance to leave your site without looking around.

I would suggest that you add more description to your home page as that is the first impression that your visitors get. If you catch the attention of the visitor, then you will most probably turn that visitor into a sale.

Hi, I agree with others that it is easy for the casual viewer to get the impression the site is an informational site rather than a sales site. I would suggest giving the price its own line away from other text and using a larger font and different color for the price, thus making prices stand out. I would also increase the font size of your "special promotions" text. If this is such a special deal, then it seams you would make a bigger display of it.

Also, I also think that some of your site pages are way too busy. In marketing, often times less is more. You don't want to overwhelm you would-be customers. Also, by providing open spaces around a few items you are able to draw attention directly to those items. For example, where you use multiple pictures for different size flags, why not list links to different prices and sizes as options under only one two larger photos? This would give less visual competition to the eyes of your patrons.

These are just a few suggestions.

One more thing you may want to check is your shopping cart software. Have you tested it yourself to make sure it's working properly? It's possible that your visitors are trying to make a purchase but running into a road block during the process.
Nice site though

Hi I'm a complete novice but the flashing special signs strike me as cheap. 1 is okay but . The best way to put it is when you go to one of those sites with a lot of blinking and flashing signs........ you just know that everything leads to them asking for your credit card number..

all the best ....

Disperse

ps .. I clicked on , took a quick look and left around 20 secs

The traffic that you are getting may not be very well targeted.
You should try to advertise with google adwords to get targeted traffic that may translate into sales.
You should also go to websites that have an audience (redneck?) that might be interested into your products and post your link there.

I can see one major problem from a consumers point of view. If they hit your homepage as primary example knowhere do you show pricing, your site must act like a sales person.

You need to set out your homepage with a highlighted product and then other good sellers with prices next to them. This will incourage a visitor to look some more and give them an immediate answer to what they are thinking which is, what is the product and how much will it cost me?

In eCommerce it doesn't get any simpler...

Hi,

Have you got stats to see what the visitors are typing in to visit your website - they do say that the longer the text string for the search the more likely they are to buy (sorry if I am teaching you to suck eggs here). You might want to try optimising your web site for the search strings where people do buy - you can get software to track visitors hrough to the purchase to see what it is that they are typing in, how long they stay on your site and if they go on to buy.

Have you also had a look at where your visitors are coming from, i.e. which country, as this might make a difference.

Good luck.
